Hi! I’m Tara, owner/photographer at Tara Dunstan Photography. I live in Forest Tasmania with my Husband, our 3 beautiful daughters, 2 kooky dogs, 3 crazy cats and 4 noisy ducks. We moved to Tasmania in April 2007 from Victoria and have never looked back. The scenery down here is just stunningly gorgeous! Mind you, I do miss the mighty Murray River from time to time, especially in the Summer time. Love the sound of the speed boats and of course the paddle steamers chugging along.
As a mum, I totally understand that the unexpected can and will happen when working with children. That’s part of the fun of it.
I absolutely love to capture those special moments in your lives for you to hold onto forever. I love to have fun with the children at our session, so don’t be too embarrassed for me when I start to look crazy. Lol! I love to get down to their level and not only make the children laugh, but to put them at ease with both myself and my camera. I hope to capture you as you are. My number one goal is that you are all comfortable.
My background in photography stems from my high school studies, on to achieving my Advanced Diploma for Professional Photography in 2013. I also now have 17 years of experience using Photoshop under my belt too, from making Photo Manipulations, Digital Scrapbooking, Photo Restoration, Photo Editing, Graphic Designs, etc. I also like to dabble in web and blog design as well.
I am always learning, always discovering new things to love about this wonderful art form. As a member of the AIPP I am bound by a code of professional conduct and a commitment to continued learning, ensuring you receive the professional service and expertise your family portraits deserve.
